Looking Back on the Dec. 15th Chapter Meeting - Old Town Caroling

This week about 40 of us gathered at Durant at 7 pm wearing our new holiday sweat shirts and white scarves to get some last minute announcements, swap WHOs to fill last minute orders, and prepare to go down into Old Town Alexandria.  It was our annual caroling “pub crawl style” in a half dozen or so restaurants and clubs.  All of the places had welcoming guests who cheered and some even sang along with us. Mark Klostermeyer did his usual great job of making arrangements with managers at all the places where we stopped to sing.  We looked into one new place and decided to go in almost unannounced – it was one of the most fun of all.

The evening ended with some guys staying in town for an afterglow.

Steve Murane brought a good supply of business cards for us to pass out to interested men we met during the evening.

Assistant Director Terry Reynolds was director.

On Monday that week, about 25 guys went to George Washington Middle School to sing on Casey Belzer’s choral department’s holiday show.  They were well received and much appreciated by one of our newest members.

Don’t forget that the chapter will meet on both Dec. 22nd and Dec. 29th as the  usual time and place for a Tuesday meeting.

Until next time – editorjack!
